About

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?
Mutable Theatrics aims to present and produce live performances that examine the human experience, catalyze change, and embrace new voices.

The vision of Mutable Theatrics is to be an ensemble driven theatre artist cooperative that is responsive to the ambitions and needs of its collaborators and neighbors by prioritizing honesty, empathy, and justice. Beyond producing live theatre, we intend to engage with and address the needs of our community through education and outreach.

As we grow, we intend to create and host performing arts events year round. Expect productions of plays & musicals, workshops, staged readings, open-mic nights, and cabarets in addition to community discussions on dramatic literature and performing arts training.

Mutable Theatrics is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of Mutable Theatrics must be made payable to “Fractured Atlas” only and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

WHERE DO YOU PERFORM?
Our work will be done initially through making use of event spaces around the Pittsburgh region. Typically, these spaces charge for rental and require us to hold insurance for the duration of the project. We intend to cover those expenses through donations and earned revenue on previous productions. As we expand, we may explore a semi-permanent venue to provide a physical space to those we serve.

Pittsburgh is our current artistic home, where we will strive to engage with other theatre communities, collectives, and artists in the area.
